- Introduction:
- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- I've been using 'Border' for a couple of month since I first bought
- my Amiga 3000. I liked the idea to turn the Workbench screen border to
- black but I was left in the cold as for the other Intuition screens.
-
- Every time you open a new screen, BorderOff will turn its border to
- black. However, you need a Super Denise to do this trick. Amiga 3000, new
- Amiga 2000-series, Amiga 500PLUS, and the Amiga 600 all comes with one
- installed. If you are not sure if you have one installed, just execute
- BorderOff, and if it install without any error message then you have a
- Super Denise in your Amiga (congratulation! 8-]).
-
- Installation:
- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- Template: BorderOff ?=HELP,QUIET/S,REMOVE
-
- To install, just execute it. You don't have to 'run' it, as
- BorderOff detach itself from the CLI, and allow you to close the Shell
- window. Execute BorderOff with the keyword 'REMOVE' to remove it from
- memory.
-
- However, as BorderOff patches Intuition's OpenScreen(),
- OpenScreenTagList() and MakeScreen() you should be aware to remove any
- other program that patches the same functions that was executed AFTER
- BorderOff, BEFORE removing BorderOff from memory. It will GURU your
- machine if you don't.
-
- In most occasions, you shouldn't need to quit BorderOff.
-
- You can put BorderOff in your startup-sequence. To remove program
- copyright and status displays at startup, just add the QUIET keyword.

- This is a preliminary version. In a future, I should add some
- safeties, a commodities interface, and some other goodies if required.
-
- This program is free-ware.
